NICOLO SCOLIERI SOUND |
Soundscape for a dance piece, 2019 via choreographer Erin Landers :: Do you know those May afternoons, long and boundless, when the days are stretching longer and the air is buzzing with a soft hum and the trees are blossoming and everything is overwhelmingly sweet? And how the sky is shimmering and the grass is glistening and your blood is racing and your eyes are flooded with brightness? And how everything is crazed, tilted off-center, spinning? And how the one who says they love you said “you are too much overflowing, I cannot hold you now,” and it was piercing and sharp, but you barely noticed? You were still sparkling and swelling in your spring-summer dreams. And that place still lives in your body, you carry it with you. And you can walk through the landscape and see new layers of that day. And the details haunt you and still you can’t grasp them. Dancers: Jessica Alexander Tamara Leigh Mary McGrath Music: Nicolo Scolieri Lighting: Judy Kagel :: The first full length showing was in November 2019, Photo from Alchemical Studios (Studio A) |
